Baptism Weekend
If you didn’t witness it for yourself, you’re probably hearing about it because everyone’s talking about the incredible weekend of worship we just experienced at MISSION. Pastor Mark went “old school” with us and brought a powerful message on the urgency of salvation and God moved powerfully as we saw 76 people place their faith in Jesus as their Savior for the first time!! God was glorified and Christ was exalted as we listened to the stories of 30 people who had previously trusted Jesus as their Savior and then demonstrated their new life in Christ through baptism.
Worship was so sweet as we sang “Jesus Paid It All” and saw the faces of men, women and children whose lives had forever been changed by that truth. And in a special moment that most did not witness, there was a 13 yr. old girl who came forward after the last service on Sunday and asked to be baptized on-the-spot. So at about 1:30 pm with a few family, pastors and some guest services volunteers gathered around, she declared her faith in Jesus and was the 31st person baptized on the weekend.
